Winter Cannabis Mocktails To Enjoy Indoors

Updated: Jan 31, 2022

It doesn’t matter where you live, whether it’s chilly or not; this time of year, we all want things that make us feel cozy and warm. Maybe we search for something to enjoy around this time of year because the holiday season is over, and we want that comfortable, warm feeling to follow us.

These alcohol free cannabis mocktails are sure to give you plenty of cozy and warm feels.

Alcohol and Cannabis

Many of us have resolutions that involve eating healthier and making better choices with alcohol, but you probably still want to hang socially. We can help you create Winter Cannabis Mocktails to enjoy with friends out or a solo night at home; you can choose whether to add CBD or THC.

Remember, mixing the two, alcohol and cannabis, is really for the experts, so if you mix alcohol and cannabis – know that you will be experiencing the Cheech to the Chong of cannabis cocktails. Adding alcohol is entirely up to you and your level of experience.

Our cannabis mocktails run the gamut; some are made with CBD to provide therapeutic benefits and for people not looking for an intoxicated or high feeling. And, if “high” is what you are looking for, there are plenty with THC in the recipe. All of our mocktails do not include alcohol and can help you test those canna-curious alcohol-free waters.

Hot Canna-Buttered Apple Cider

Nothing goes better with dark and chilly than hot canna-buttered apple cider infused with THC. This recipe will help you feel a THC high as you start to feel those wintery lows.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of light brown sugar (packed

  • 3 tbsp of cannabutter

  • 6 cups of apple cider (unfiltered apple juice can work)

  • 6 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 6 cinnamon sticks

  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Directions:

Begin with a large pot, bring cannabutter, and brown sugar to a simmer over medium heat. Be sure to stir frequently, and simmer until the sugar and butter have melted. It is essential to allow the mixture to heat to boiling; simmer.

Here comes the good part, stir in cider, lemon juice, and cinnamon sticks (the smells will all come together here). Bring this mixture to a boil. Last but not least, garnish each cup with sprinkled nutmeg and a cinnamon stick.Be sure to steep the cider for a few moments before serving this warm bevie to your friends.

Cannabis Milk

This popular recipe goes by another alias, “mother’s

milk.” You can use this cannabis-infused milk as a stand-alone drink or a welcomed add-on to other wintery drinks that call for milk. Remember, once the cannabis flower is decarbed (read on), it will have THC effects and will make those drinks “extra special” with a side of high. Here’s how to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of milk (dairy or nondairy versions like oat milk and almond milk work here as well)

  • ¼ ounce of finely ground cannabis flower

  • Cheesecloth

Directions:

  1. To start this recipe, you need to plan a bit, but only add-on about 25 minutes, because you must decarboxylate your cannabis to ensure that your mocktails will have the desired effect that you are looking to achieve.

  2. First, heat your oven to 240 degrees. Be sure to spread the cannabis evenly on a baking sheet, and cover with foil. Bake it in the oven for 25 minutes, and let it cool.

  3. Next, using the double boiler method, bring the milk to a simmer. Add your cannabis slowly here and continue stirring, until the milk covers the cannabis. Simmer for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. It will be a greenish-yellow color.

  4. Remove from heat, and strain with your cheesecloth (if you do not have this, you can use opaque tights in a jam). Squeeze out the liquid from the cheesecloth to avoid wasting any of the potent cannabis-infused milk.

  5. Let your canna milk cool and enjoy either alone or added to another drink like the hot canna cocoa below.

Hot Cannabis Cocoa

You can’t go wrong with cocoa, and you for sure won’t be sorry with Hot Canna Cocoa. This recipe is sure to hit all the nostalgic feels and have you feeling cozy when the temps change.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ¾ cup of white sugar (substitute other sweeteners if desired)

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • cup of boiling water

  • 3 cups of regular milk (any kind will do)

  • ½ cups of cannabis milk (you’ve got the recipe above- you’re welcome, but remember this is THC now)

  • ¾ tsp of vanilla extract

  • ½ cup half-and-half

Directions:

  1. First, you start by adding all the yum, sugar, cocoa, and salt to a saucepan. Next, pour in the boiling water and bring to a low boil while frequently stirring for about two minutes.

  2. Slowly add your regular milk and your cannabis milk while stirring. Heat until steaming, but don’t allow the milk to reach a full boil, or you’ll risk scalding and ruining the treat.

  3. Next up, remove from the burner, and add vanilla. Divide evenly among a few mugs, and add half-and-half to cool. (This is another place where you can add your Mother’s Milk to “cool” your canna cocoa, but watch your dosage).

Sweet & Simple

Sweet and simple is the name of this CBD-infused drink, and during the winter, that’s all we need, sweet and simple. This recipe takes the thinking out of the mix using simple ingredients that you might already have at home.

Ingredients:

  • Mint leaves

  • Simple syrup

  • CBD oil

  • Sprite

  • Soda Water

  • Pebble ice

Directions:

  1. Begin by mashing your mint leaves with the help of a muddler (if you don’t have one, you can use a wooden spoon to mash up the mint in your glass. Next, mix your muddled leaves with syrup and your CBD oil (dose to your level of chill).

  2. Finally, add some soda water for bubbles and a splash of Sprite on top for a little more pop!

  3. Pour your muddled substance into a chilled glass. Top it with pebble ice (if possible), and enjoy your CBD experience!

Sipping on Cannabis

In our opinion, there is never a wrong time to sip on cannabis. However, remember to be careful when experimenting for the first time. If you want to eliminate psychoactivity, you must replace the cannabis that includes THC, with CBD.

Don’t forget, our recipes that suggest decarboxylating will result in that high feeling, and our recipes that use CBD oil will help you attain a wintery calm and chill vibe when testing mocktails. Infused drinks make delicious and delightful beverages for any adult in life looking for a little extra fun, or if you are looking to Treat Yo Self!

Slow and Steady

Unless you are at a high level (get it, high-level) experience-wise, consuming alcohol and cannabis together can hit you quickly, and the effects can seem magnified. But, remember, ingesting cannabis can take an hour or more to feel the results, so when you decide to imbibe in these cannabis-infused mocktails, take it slow and steady to win this race.

Canna Curious

Whether you are interested in replacing alcohol permanently or learning to supplement cannabis to test the alcohol-free waters, these cannabis cocktails are a way to start. When you blend warm drinks, cozy spices, and flavors, all of which elevate your mood and help you get to that level, some might call chill.

So invite your friends over for a tasting party they’re sure to forget after they’ve had one or two of these cannabis cocktails!
